Scoring Methodology
Tureka AI Visibility Checker uses this page to explain how this signal affects AI visibility reports and which implementation details matter most.
The total score is an AI visibility readiness score, not a simple average. Base category weights are SEO Foundation 25, AEO Readiness 20, GEO / AI Discoverability 20, Structured Data 15, Performance 10, and Accessibility 10; AEO and GEO then count 1.5x in the overall score.
Category scores are earned from passed evidence, not started at 100. Repeated page-level tests are normalized by criterion, so a site is not rewarded or punished simply because more pages were crawled.
Agent-readiness signals such as Link headers, Content Signals, Markdown negotiation, API catalogs, MCP cards, and Agent Skills indexes are scored inside GEO with modest weights because these standards are still emerging.
Paid agent API responses are asynchronous: package creation returns scanId, statusUrl, and resultUrl; agents poll resultUrl for scores, coverage, comparison, fix plan, snippets, and optional AI summary depending on the package.
Critical caps keep scores honest: thin initial HTML, missing title and H1, noindex, broken canonical signals, missing JSON-LD, JSON-LD parse errors, missing llms.txt, weak entity clarity, or unclear AI crawler rules can limit category and overall scores.
The report separates total available criteria from the criteria that actually ran on the scanned pages, so one scanned page is not confused with many separate pages.
Scores estimate technical readiness. They cannot guarantee citations, rankings, AI Overviews placement, or model behavior across ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, Copilot, or other systems.
Scanner versions are stored in new reports. Older reports can be re-run to use the latest criteria, coverage, confidence, and comparison logic.
Duplicate candidates are detected by matching the same technical result hash for the same domain and user scope. They are reported for admin review only; this MVP does not automatically delete them.
